Allows you to edit Grace's head model while preserving her hair strands. This mod makes strands independent by modifying the .pfb files . It allows you to freely edit the head model while preserving the hair strands and their physics, without having to disable the strand option. You can add or remove vertices as you wish—this will not distort the strands.

This mod is typically used for creating nude mods. It allows you to remove the neck vertices and attach the body mesh to the head portion. It might still need some testing, as I'm still in the "hospital" phase—it's very early in the game.

Installation instructions:

  1. Latest versions of Fluffy Mod Manager and REFramework required !
  2. If you are installing REFramework for the first time, Fluffy Mod Manager should prompt you to enable the loose file loader if REFramework is installed before installing mods.

You can also enable the loader manually through the REFramework interface (which appears when you launch the game). Please note that the settings are only saved when you close the menu! Simply enabling and exiting will not save your changes.

Or edit the re2_fw_config.txt file in the game folder (created when REFramework starts) and make sure LooseFileLoader_Enabled is set to true .

3. Place the mod archive in the folder:
FluffyModManager\Games\RE9\Mods , then open the mod manager and enable it.

Instructions for use:

Be careful and don't modify this mod's files unless you know what you're doing! Make sure your own mod doesn't contain .strands or .sbd files . These files are typically left alone until you're ready to edit strands.

Export the edited head model as:

ch0200_10_00.mesh.250925211 or ch0200_10_10.mesh.250925211 are its original paths.

You can modify other models (such as pants or arms)—they typically don't conflict with this mod. If desired, you can include all the files from this mod in your own mod pack.

Additionally:

There are currently two ways to edit a head model while preserving hair strands.

Since my method is a bit complicated, I'll describe the second one first. I'll add a detailed explanation of how this mod works later.

[Method 1 - Modifying .pfb files]

In development

[Method 2 - without changing the number of vertices]

  1. Update RE Mesh Editor to the latest version;
  2. Do not add or remove vertices;
  3. Reduce the bottom part of the model and hide it;

4. Attach the body mesh to the head piece;

5. Since this method preserves the index and number of vertices, the strands will not be distorted.
