Introduction:

This Reshade preset is designed to make the game look softer and give it a decent cinematic look. It also fixes the extreme blur caused by TAA, while adding its own high-quality Gaussian blur to make everything look softer and more attractive. The most important thing is that it adds fake HDR and increases color depth.

This is my personal Reshade preset, due to multiple requests, I post it here. Let us review its role.

-Add fake HDR-HDR to make black blacker and white more "popular".
-Increase the color depth without over-saturation.
-Remove the harsh green filter used in the game.
-Add non-performance-intensive SMAA to smooth edges.
-Intelligently sharpen the image to keep it clear when using TAA (without adding jagged effects).
-Apply its own color palette to make the game more "cinema". I don't know what else can be called. It looks good to me.
-Added its own high-quality Gaussian blur to soften the edges and make everything look more attractive.

This is intended to be used with TAA. If you use any other form of anti-aliasing, the image quality may be affected by being too sharp. I also recommend using TAA, because FXAA is basically just a low-quality version of it. It honestly doesn't do anything for you, but it blurs the screen even more.

If you plan to use it without TAA (not recommended), please consider turning off "Lumasharpen", which is a filter for sharpening TAA.

If you don't like the Gaussian blur effect or don't want it to be 3-4 fps away from you, you can also turn it off in the Reshade settings.

Game: Resident Evil 2: Remake

Author: F00X

installation method:

You obviously need Reshade. The latest version can be found on their website Reshade.me. (Select DirectX 10+ when installing)

It will ask if you want to download the shader pack. The answer is yes. Choose the following;

-Deband
-Color
-Curve
-FakeHDR
-Tonemap
-Vibrance
-LiftGammaGain
-Lumasharpen
-Gaussian Blur
-SMAA

! important! -This preset requires more than two shaders, which are not options in the default package. These are "Clarity2" and "Colorfilter". Please download here**. Extract "Clarity2.fx" + "ColorFilter.fx" and put them in "\reshade-shaders\shaders"

Now download the preset here and put it in your main Resident Evil 2 Remake folder.

If you did everything correctly, you can now start the game, and Reshade will let you know that it is working by initializing it at the top. You may need to press "Home / Pos 1" and select a preset at the top to open it. You may also have to check all shader boxes to activate all of them. You can deactivate or activate the content you like. You can even adjust the settings freely if needed. When you’re done, check the "Performance Mode" at the bottom and turn off the overlay again
