Description
Papyrus (Beta’s scripting language) is a shared system, so a poorly optimized script will lead to poor optimization of the entire game, thus affecting the speed of more scripts. This is similar to the optimizations sub human0100 made for Skyrim SE, but isn't quite as deep as we've only recently gained access to script compilation, and now requires skipping new undocumented features.
You can think of it like a papyrus queue. When a script gets to the front of a queue using a slow function and has to ask another script for information, it leaves the queue to ask for information and then goes to the back of the queue. This mode shortens queues by giving them the correct information when they reach the front, reducing how often they have to return to the queue.
The performance gain added by this mod varies depending on many different factors. Where you are, what/how many tasks are running, which tasks you have completed, your computer, other mods, etc.
I personally get about 3 fps in big cities, but up to 5-10 fps in some areas. You may gain nothing, or you may gain more.
If you use any mods that replace the original scripts, make sure this mod does not overwrite them.
If you are using Mod Organizer 2, just lower its priority.
This mod will be in beta for quite some time. There are more features that will take time to get up to speed, and there are a lot of scripts that are being skipped because they use new features that we're not sure how it works. There are also many scripts that will be even more optimized when more esp support comes out.
