RDR2 subtle color, contrast and sharpening correction.
The vanilla RDR2 on the PC is indeed beautiful, but it suffers from blurring and fading, especially when compared to the console version. Because of my disappointment with it, I made this subtle adjustment preset. What this recoloring preset does:-Remove the exaggerated green/gray color filter present in the PC version, make the color profile closer to the console version, make the colors slightly more vibrant, increase the overall image sharpness and contrast just a little bit To prevent "washing" looking outwards to increase sharpening (vanilla is a fuzzy mess, check the "Recommended Settings" section below for further improvements)-slightly reduce vignetting and shake the image through a very subtle film texture to prevent color With artifacts (optional, you can disable it in the "ReShade" menu if you want) The role of this ReShade preset does not:-Significantly change the original color balance significantly changes the original contrast, making the color more "dreamy"- -Crush the dark color, ie. , Change the black spots to change the overall atmosphere of the game, make your eyes hurt after a period of time, use a bunch of unnecessary effects, such as environmental blooming pollution images, and then call it "reality"-destroy your performance count:-first Second, make sure your monitor has been calibrated Atlanta.nl/lcd-test/ (it will take less than 10 minutes)-download this preset, unzip it with 7-Zip, and put the .ini file in the RDR2.exe file In the folder-I downloaded the latest ReShade version from reshade.me. I installed it to RDR2, selected Vulkan API when prompted, and then enabled ReShade for all Vulkan games Go. To "Edit ReShade Settings", change the "Preset" to "Absolute correction.ini. Check the "Performance Mode" and "Skip Tutorial" boxes to open RDR2. Recommended settings:-Default game gamma/brightness TAA Medium (high too blurry, too high performance)-TAA sharpness around 20% (1 /5 bars) -FXAA On (it seems that the TAA in this game is used with FXAA to check the city lights at night or the moon-if you have NVidia GPU, you can disable LumaSharpen in the ReShade options menu and activate the image The sharpening is replaced by the NVidia panel because it looks and performs better. Try "sharpening 0.29, ignoring film texture 0.17".
